Ross Fraser - Chairman and Executive Director
Ross is the founder of Energy Response. Ross has had an extensive career in the energy sector including executive management of a major utility, and leadership of major projects and engineering works in the energy and related industries. He has consulted to many participants in the electricity industry, both in Australia and overseas, and was the project manager for the establishment of the National Electricity Market on behalf of NEMMCO. Ross is also a Director of Independent Utility Services Pty Ltd who operate buying group services for energy consumers and their representative organisations.

Michael Zammit - Managing Director
Michael has over 16 years of experience working for utilities. He has consulted to utilities both locally and overseas, on technology implementation, strategic planning, and business management. Prior to his role at Energy Response, he held senior positions with United Energy and IBM Global Services Australia, and has worked across a number of divisions with the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria. Michael has been the Managing Director of Energy Response since it commenced commercial operations and has overseen the establishment and growth of the company since then. He is also a director for a consulting and event management company (Integrated Management Services Pty Ltd) and Chairman of the MMI (Measurement and Metering Innovations) Conference.

Stuart Lynch – Manager, Dispatch
Stuart has worked in the utilities industry since 2001, with a focus on business process, IT systems and statistical analysis. Prior to joining the organisation, Stuart worked as a consultant for various large utilities in Australia and the United States. He has provided consulting services for large-scale technology implementations, business process improvement and optimization, business management and IT infrastructure. Stuart joined Energy Response in 2006, and is responsible for the management and ongoing development of the operations and dispatch systems in the two Australian electricity markets (NEM and WEM) as well as the New Zealand Electricity Market.

Dean Spaccavento – Manager, Enabling Technology
Dean specializes in technical product development and the implementation of strategic technology. His most recent role was as the founder and Managing Director of Gardanto, an engineering focused company, whose achievements include building the world’s first SaaS two-factor authentication solution. Prior to that, Dean held technical leadership positions at BT Financial Group, Westpac Global Energy, and a Canberra based startup. Dean’s role at ER involves developing technology-driven solutions, technology integration and enhancement, and new product development.

Jitendra Tomar – Manager, Networks
Jitendra has international experience as an engineer and business development manager in diverse industry sectors including utilities, telecommunications, manufacturing automation, aviation, and defence. Jit’s role at ER involves project managing and developing network support solutions for transmission & distribution networks and ISO’s.

Dr. Paul Troughton - Manager, Generation
Paul is an electrical engineer with a broad technical and commercial background. Prior to joining the organisation, he was with a private equity firm, working to establish a clean technology investment fund and advising on potential investments in the fields of photovoltaics, energy control systems and energy storage technologies. His other work has included strategic consulting to high-technology start-up businesses in the UK and Australia, and work in the New Zealand electricity industry. Paul’s team at Energy Response utilizes embedded generation, particularly standby generators to provide peaking capacity in the National Electricity Market.
