New Zealand

Energy Response is working in three areas in the New Zealand market:

North Island – Interruptible Load project

We are actively aggregating new sources of Interruptible Load from industrial and commercial sites in the North Island. We would be pleased to hear from you If you have loads above 150KW that can be automatically switched off in either less than 1 second for a minute (the Fast market) or over a minute for at least 30 minutes (the Sustained market). You can earn a new monthly revenue stream in participating with us in the Instantaneous Reserves market and help to keep the lights on. Please contact Michael Jefferson on +64 21 936 875 or on email michael.jefferson@energyresponse.com to find out how much you could earn

Upper North Island and Auckland – future grid support

We are looking at expanding our aggregation services in the upper North Island and Auckland to provide new products to meet the needs of the grid before new transmission gets built. We are keen to hear from any prospective providers with potential for at least 250 kW of load reduction for up to 2 hours in duration or that have on-site stand-by generation to cover possibly up to 4 hour calls.  Please contact Michael Jefferson (+64 21 936 875 or michael.jefferson@energyresponse.com) or Allan Kerr (+64 27 276 7925 or allan.kerr@energyresponse.com) if you would like to easily earn some revenue from the electricity industry starting in 2011.

Upper South Island – future grid and network support during peaks

After our success in delivering 20MW of firm capacity in the 2008 DSP trial with Transpower, we are working with Orion in Christchurch in 2010 on an extreme peak product. We want to expand our aggregation capabilities in 2011 across the upper South Island grid. We would be pleased to hear from any new industrial or commercial provider capable of at least 250 kW of load reduction or with on-site stand-by generation to cover possibly up to 2 hour calls. Please contact Stephen Drew if you would like further information about this programme on +64 21 634 880 or stephen.drew@energyresponse.com

Distributed Generation in the Australian National Electricity Market (ie the NEM)

If you own/manage a standby/emergency generator that supports 1MW or more of load, Energy Response has perfected a means to have your generator participate in the electricity market.  That means we can change your generator from a cost liability to a revenue earner and help you better monitor the generator so that when you need it you will have greater confidence that it will start.  Those interested should contact Peter Nolan on 0409 218 351 or email Peter.Nolan@energyresponse.com
